Domaine Alex Moreau Bourgogne Blanc 2021

"Cool and airy aromas feature those of green apple, lemon-lime and a hint of petrol. The nicely rich and concentrated middleweight flavors possess a caressing, even seductive, mouthfeel while culminating in a clean, dry and sneaky long finale. This well-made effort could use better depth so a year or two of keeping should prove helpful in that regard."  Burghound

The 2021 Bourgogne Blanc from Alex Moreau is excellent. The wine was still in tank and destined for bottling after the holidays. It offers up a lovely nose of apple, pear, lemon, a fine base of chalky soil tones, citrus zest and just a hint of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is bright, full-bodied, long and nicely balanced, with a good core, zesty acids and a long, bouncy finish. A fine, fine example. (Drink between 2023-2032) " John Gilman

"No new wood but younger barrels than usual. As always, a strikingly classy yet undemonstrative nose. More weight up front, quite rich white fruit, very slightly biscuity. Solid more than sensual. Drink from 2024-2026. "Jasper Morris

" Fine-boned and precise, the 2021 Bourgogne Chardonnay offers up aromas of pear, citrus oil, white flower and clear honey, followed by a medium-bodied, vibrant palate. This year, it will see longer maturation on the lees, which will likely deliver more texture. (WK)"Wine Advocate

"The 2021 Bourgogne Chardonnay has a pretty, minty bouquet that has a spring in its step. The palate is well balanced with a crisp, chalky entry and modest depth, though it is just missing a little tension on the finish. (NM)" Vinous
