This wine is made from our small patch of Grenache Blanc, the first planting ever in the Yarra Valley as far as we are aware. The clone is Entav 143, we were on the waiting list for the first release of the variety in Australia for 5 years.
 
Fermented in an old French oak 500L and bottled in August 25
 
The wine has complex floral honeysuckle with a citrus edge and mineral flinty note to the aromas. The palate is fine and flinty with lovely depth and focus, it has weight but is kept in check by a nice phenolic grip and mineral finish. This is approachable now.
This is the best we have made in our short history with the variety.
