This wine is from the original 2021 planting and a portion from the newer planting of the same clone in 2011. The clone is an old Barossa clone BVRC38.

This is a highly fragrant and detailed Grenache this year. It is crammed with trademark raspberry, cranberry, pomegranate and wild strawberry fruits. There is a spicy edge and the aromas lifted and fragrant with a floral edge as it opens.

Fine silky and concentrated and poised it is a really delicious wine. The tannin structure and mouthfeel is juicy and intense and layered with raspberry and strawberry fruits. The length is there along with trademark chalky Grenache finish. It is delicious now as a good young Grenache should be, but it will continue to evolve and improve over the coming years.
