This is the seventh release of Nebbiolo from the Serrat site, having missed 2022 and 2023 due to poor set during spring. Planted in 2011, it has taken some time to fine tune this wine, but I am sure you will not be disappointed.

I truly believe the Yarra Valley is extremely well suited to this variety, particularly with the lovely long autumn weather we enjoy, very cold nights, foggy mornings and still warm days. Nebbiolo just loves it. In fact, the name Nebbiolo is thought to derive from the Italian word nebbia, meaning fog or mist.
The aromas are pitch perfect Nebbiolo, red fruits, rose petals and hint of spice, just so detailed and pristine, beautifully poised.
 
The palate is seamless and fine, with lovely tension between acidity and tannin. Detailed, pristine fruit characters carry effortlessly through a long and poised finish. Pure, finely detailed and captivating, this is a wine that echoes a fine amaro, savoury and gently bitter, cutting beautifully across the palate and entirely suited to the table.
