This wine is from the orignal of MV6 Pinot Noir, plus a proportion of newer plantings of 848, MV6 and Pommard clone. We added about 30% whole bunch in the ferments in 2022, which has given the wine quite a punchy and fragrant aroma, that evolves nicely as the wine sits in the glass. It was aged in 500 litre French oak puncheons, on lees for 11 months.

 

The bouquet is dominated by the darker cherry and a plummy hint coupled with red fruit spectrum, strawberry, raspberry, spice with detailed fragrance and floral notes.

 

The palate is tightly wound with some serious tannic intensity underneath a silky and voluminous mouthfeel. Serious extract and density.
